Scientists of ICAR-Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR) and ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), both in Hyderabad, with the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation, warned in a viewpoint in the Indian Journal of Medical Research (IJMR), reported on 4 October 2026, that polished millets lose much of their nutritional value.
