Who it is for
Students preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, TGPSC Group 1 and APPSC Group 1, at any point in their preparation — reading a subject for the first time, building a foundation, or revising before the paper. When you set up PrepShark you tell it which exam you are preparing for, and it shows you the subjects that exam’s syllabus asks for.
What PrepShark gives you
- Chapter capsules. Each chapter of a subject, written to be read once and understood, with tables, timelines, maps and recall checks where they make it easier to learn. Browse them at Chapter capsules.
- Flashcards. Cards drawn from the chapters, for the subjects that have them. A card you get wrong comes back the next day; one you keep getting right comes back after longer and longer gaps, so your time goes to what you have not yet learned.
- MCQs. Chapter-wise questions in the style of the examinations, each with an explanation you can read the moment you answer.
- Current affairs. Editions of the national and international news that matters for these examinations, published most days, and a Telangana edition; monthly compilations for All India, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
- Atlas and timeline. Maps of India, the world and Telangana to practise locating places on, and the events of Indian, world and Telangana history in order.
How the learning works
Read a chapter. Practise its flashcards, which return on a schedule built around what you got wrong. Test yourself with its questions. Your progress, highlights and notes are kept in your account so you can pick up where you stopped.
What is free
With a free account you can read the first chapter of every subject, use the atlas and the timeline, and read the free topics in every current-affairs edition. Capsule Plus opens the remaining chapters of a subject, with their flashcards and questions; a Radar Plus pass opens every topic in the current-affairs editions it covers. Each is a one-time payment for a fixed period, with the price shown before you pay; nothing renews automatically.
The principles behind the content
- Written against the official syllabus of each examination, not against what other material covers.
- Facts come from sources that can be checked, in the order set out in our sources and methodology.
- How content is drafted, checked and published — including where AI is used — is described in our editorial policy.
- Mistakes are corrected when they are found, and you can report one from any chapter or question; see corrections.
