How to report an error
Every chapter, flashcard and question has a Report option. Use it from the item itself: the report is attached to that exact chapter or question, so you never have to describe which one you mean. Choose what is wrong — a factual error, a wrong answer key, a wrong explanation, a typo, an image problem, something missing or outside the syllabus — and add a sentence about it.
A report is filed from your account, so if your account has an email address we can write to you about it. You can also write to support@prepshark.in; include the page address or the question, and what you believe is correct with your source if you have one.
How reports are reviewed
Reports arrive in one queue that the PrepShark team works through. Each is checked against the sources the content was written from, in the order set out in our sources and methodology. A report is then resolved — the content is corrected — or closed with no change when the content turns out to be right. Reporting is not a vote: one well-sourced report is enough to change something, and many reports do not change something that is correct.
How corrections are made
A correction is made in the content itself and published the same way as any other change, so the site shows the corrected text as soon as it is published. The app updates the next time it syncs. Earlier versions are kept in PrepShark’s history, so a correction can always be traced.
When a correction changes a chapter’s text, the chapter’s last-updated date moves with it. Changing only its picture or layout does not.
What we keep private
Who reported an error, their email address and anything said in a report stay private. PrepShark does not publish reports, reporters or internal notes.
